where she stops, well that’s where she stops.
I find it amusing, disturbing, surprising, and another -ing word I can’t think of right now, how life brings us around in circles. Considering where I am right now in my life and where I was ten years ago, you would think that those years were all a bad nightmare and I just woke up like countless storybook characters none the worse for wear. A lot of people even think I look like I’m 24 and I’m totally ok with that.
But what is most striking (ah there’s the other -ing word) is that I will find myself doing something this coming Sunday that I never thought would happen in a million years… rooting for the NEW YORK GIANTS. Funny.
Now I am a New Yorker through and through, and don’t let anyone tell you that if you leave you give up the right to say that. Hogwash I say. I will always be a New Yorker and my heart will always beat stronger when I am there. That said, I never did care for the Giants simply for one reason alone… they play in Jersey. That was really my big hangup and I had that debate with many a Giant fan about ten years ago.
But Sunday, … well, Sunday is a different story because as much as I resist the Jersey connection, I will resist the Boston connection even more. So you’ll probably catch me in my Yankees cap and maybe slipping out a noo yawk accent here and there just for fun.
A girl has to have her priorities straight.
